Skin Care

Updated: Jun 12, 2020

Every now and again my eczema likes to bug up and try me. Inflamation and swollen eyes grrr. I'm prescribed a steroid cream when the flare up is extreme. But they're not recommended to be used for a long period of time.

As I've gotten older, I've realised that stress and change in weather (when I went to Morocco the flare up on my neck and chest was maddd!) can be a cause of a bad flare up. I've also gotten into the habit of keeping track of what I eat and drink when my skin acts up so I can see if that is a cause.

Some little tips:

Drink LOTS of water

Let your skin breathe; avoid make up, scented moisturisers and shower gels when your skin is irritated

DON'T scratch (I know it's hard)

Below are a few products I've been using lately:

AquaMax Cream- My first time trying this, so far so good. It's SLS free and can be used in the shower as well as to cream your body with.

Sanex Soap - I use the sanex deodorant and roll on, which I like a lot so was curious to try this one out.

Sanex Bath Foam- This bath foam smells sooo nice, I love getting out the bath and my skin smells of it. A little goes a long way.

Cetraben- I've been using this for years and it doesn't disappoint. It is of a nice consistency, not too think or runny.
