Natural Hair Products

Updated: Jun 12, 2020

So my natural hair is the type 4C. It's consists of very tight curls, which spring back in when you stretch it out lol. It's short and thick but I've learnt to love it. Even though I wear wigs as a protective style and just love them in general tbh (my close friends know! I have about 9 haha) it's important to take care of whats underneath. I use Cantu products on my hair, as they smell great and keep it nice and moisturised. Their range is sulfate free and made with pure shea butter.

Below are the products I use, whenever I hit up PAKS I have a look to see which product I want to try next. But happy with what I use so far

I wash my hair once a week, or more if I think I have a lot of product build up and my scalp is itchy. This shampoo smells lovely, lathers up and washes out well.

I tend to leave the conditioner in for about 5 mintues, or 10-15 with a shower cap over it if I want to do a mini deep conditioner. If I can be bothered I even do DIY hair salon and wave my hairdryer over it before washing it out lol. Every now and again I will do just a co wash

This lotion helps to soften and detangle your hair. I like to apply some when my hair is wet before blow drying, then again after when it's completely dry. I section my hair and apply it to the scalp, along with using Coconut Oil.

I recently brought this, so far so good. It moisturises and adds manageability to hair. After washing and drying my hair, I section my hair and apply a generous amount then twist it with my fingers. I usually leave it for about 3 or 4 days before taking the twists out- this really enhances my curly, coily hair pattern.

Let me know of any natual hair products you recommend. I will eventually show how I do a twist out with my TWA!
