Thirty and thriving!
I turned 30 the other week and celebrated with my peoples at home. Check out my sweet birthday glam.
I always say make up is fun so of course my go to Busola from Allure House UK had to come give me the yearly birthday glow- she first did my make up 6 years ago and her skills have gotten better and better. I normally give an idea of what I want and let her run with it. The soft neutral, bronzy glow was perfect.
Wigs By Hannah made my unit. I loved using her service because she provided great quality hair, dyed it jet black and styled it into loose waves. This saved me time because I normally buy and dye bundles myself- I'm quite lazy with those things so this was perfect. I'll definitely be using her service from now on!
My dress code was neutrals, nude, browns, white and pink- spring vibes. So I wore a colour I never do. The ruched mesh mint green mini dress from House of CB gave the subtle pop of colour I wanted, along with the soft pink Ego heels added a nice contrast.
I gotta mention the amazing cake Alicia from Humble Cake Company made. I found a lot of inspo from the gram and was liking square cakes so Alicia got creative with it and surprised me with a two tier cake- chocolate on the top and vanilla on the bottom. She gave me the tiniest sneak peak during her design process so I was shocked when I saw it in person. The flowers and pampas unintentionally matched my décor perfectly.
ALK Marquees set up a 4x9 marquee in my garden. I've got a big garden which I never use so I wanted to utilise it. They also dug out some mud/grass which allowed the flooring to lay flat. The princess throne was a last minute feature (very fitting for me tbh haha)
Joy from Events by Joy transformed the space. I also found inspiration online and made a mood board. However I wanted her to do her thing creatively which I was really happy with. From the colour tones, to candles, dinnerware- everything was perfect.
Overall, a milestone I'm going to always remember. Vibes with my people, couldn't of asked for better!
